At high school, my legs were always been bigger than all of my friends and I always thought it must just run in the family. Then around the age of 23/24, I was losing weight having started running but nothing would shift the weight on my legs. They were getting very, very heavy and ached constantly, often affecting my sleep. I could run for some time but then I simply couldn't run anymore, my legs had swollen too much and would be too tight to keep going.
