Your areolas are the pigmented areas surrounding your nipples. Like breasts, areolas vary widely in size, colour, and shape. It’s perfectly normal to have large or differently sized areolas, but if you’re uncomfortable with the size of your areolas, a reduction is entirely possible and a relatively simple surgery.
We like to try and show all sorts of surgery before and afters – from the large to the relatively small, so we wanted to share this areola reduction for those people who might be considering this sort of surgery. Our patient was unhappy with the size of her areolas, so Mr Karri performed surgery to create a newer, smaller shape. he was delighted with the result. Areola reduction can be performed on its own, or together with a breast lift, a breast reduction, or breast augmentation.
